Tom sadly
died this year aged 90. For many years he was a Regatta finish line
judge and was very distinctive both because of his Mutton Chop whiskers
and enthusiastic use of the air horn as each competitor crossed the line. Tom had a varied career that included the army and antique clocks. He was also a relative of Napoleon Bonaparte - but was thankfully of a very
different personality! Tom was always smartly dressed and jolly, and
was one of those very rare people who never had a bad word to say about
anyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.
