Regatta - Friday 13th
We had a record breaking number of entries
for this years regatta! This would have resulted in over 200 races. Which is just not possible in one day.
The Boys U14 Single Sculls races combined have 33 races.
The Minnie Cowley (Girls singles) has 31 races.
Boys and girls kayaks have 38 races.
The published rules allow the committee to reduce the number of races by removing rowers from the over-subscribed races by blind draw.
Rather than cut 30 young competitors we decided to run 30 races on Friday evening (from 6.30 to 8.00 ).
